– Take the A10 (Paris-Bordeaux) autoroute, leaving at exit 35 (Saintes), and follow signs to Île d’Oleron.
– The Île d’Oléron is connected to the mainland by a toll-free bridge (“viaduc”) 3027 meters long.
Connections by train
– The nearest SNCF TGV stations are Surgères and La Rochelle. Local trains (TER) serve Rochefort and Saintes and there are bus services throughout the year connecting all of these train stations to the Île d’Oléron.
